Create Academic plan

circle-info

A Prerequisite to creating an Academic planner is to have classrooms and create a syllabus for the selected classroom

You also need to create a time table for the classroom before making its Academic plan

An Academic Plan of any classroom is based on the syllabus created for that classroom. Academic plan is where you can map schedule of how the syllabus is going to be completed for a particular subject and which staff is conducting which lecture.

Create Academic plan

Go to the Academic planner from menu and click on "Add Academic Plan" icon. Enter Academic Plan Name, Start and End Date of the plan, select the syllabus and its classroom and click on add button.

Update Academic Plan

You can also update the above details as shown below

Disable Academic Plan

Disabling Academic plan deletes the plan from your institute profile.

Academic Plan Configuration

This is the most important part in creating Academic plan. Here, you basically decide how your syllabus is going be covered, what is the schedule and which teacher is going to cover which chapter or module. You can do that by going inside Academic plan configuration as shown below -

In above screen, there are following parts -

  • Top part consists of Selecting a staff. You will only see the staff which are assigned to the selected classroom here. You can read more about adding/updating staff permissions here

  • Then you have From and To Date. This is used to load the schedule between the selected dates. This will show you all Weekly/Monthly/One time lectures created for the selected subject which is basically the schedule for the subject. Read more about schedule creation here

  • Once you select the above, you will see schedule loaded on the right side of the screen. You already have complete syllabus loaded on the left side. Now you can drag and drop the sub topics from left side (syllabus) to the right side on any of the schedule cards of your choice. E.g. say you drag a sub topic 'Semiconductors and Electric devices' from left side on to 3rd September PHYSICS session on right side, this means you have assigned this sub topic to be covered on September 3rd Physics lecture and it's covered by staff called 'Admin' as shown above. So when the staff logs in, it can see it's schedule has this sub topic assigned to be covered on 3rd September Physics class as a goal.
