Add questions to your test
Now that we have created the test, we now need to add questions to this test. We can do that as follows -
There are multiple ways in which we can add questions to this test -
Adding question images in bulk (Similar to what we did in question bank)
Importing questions from PDF (Parsing PDF like described in question bank section)
Auto generate test from question bank
Pick and choose questions from question bank
Add questions from images in bulk
The first option allows you to add your questions with images.
You will see this page after clicking “Add Question From Images”. You should have images of questions that you want to add placed in a folder in your PC. Each image represents a question with options.
Offset – Which question number the questions will be added from. By default it is 1. If you want to add questions from 21-30 offset will be 21
Test No. of Questions- How many questions you want to add. In above example, for 21-30, you want to add '10' questions starting from offset 21
Weightage – Marks assigned for each question
Negative Marking- If there is any negative marking for the question
Subject - Questions will be added under the selected subject
Options type - In case of MCQ type question, are options in format A,B,C,D or 1,2,3,4
Question type - Single/Multiple/Number etc. Question types and its significance is explained here
Section - Exam section which the questions belong to. Can be any text 'Section 1' or 'Section A' or 'A' etc.
Partial marking - Useful for JEE/JEE Advance kind of exams, this option means if In case of multiple correct answers, student gives 2 correct answers out of 3, student will get the partial marks for the question as it has not chosen any wrong option

Then you have to click on the “Add Questions” button. It will create placeholders for the 10 (Number of questions chosen by you above) questions that you want to add and allow you to update type/weightage/correct answer etc question level parameters if required.
Then make sure you choose files/images from the folder in your PC. No of files/images selected should match the number of questions you want to add.
Then you can click on Upload button to upload the questions and save the test. You can go to check/update questions view to review the questions added in the test
Import questions in test from PDF question paper

If you have a PDF question paper from which you want to extract questions, you can use this feature to directly parse PDF and get questions from it. To understand how to use these parameters to extract questions from PDF, please refer to this section
After you have selected the PDF file and setup the parsing parameters correctly, choose the below test related parameters as per your requirement
Weightage – How many marks are given to each question
Negative Marking- Add if there's any negative marking to the question
Subject - Which subject the questions belong to
Section - Exam section which the questions belongs to
Options format - In case of MCQ type question, are options in format A,B,C,D or 1,2,3,4
How to setup PDF parsing parameters can be found in this section as discussed before.
After clicking on the parse button, you will see your imported questions in preview section. If the questions are the correctly parsed then click on the "SAVE QUESTION PAPER" button to add these questions into the test. If not, then change the PDF parsing parameters and try to 'PARSE AGAIN'
Automatically add questions from question bank
In this option, we get use our question bank to add questions into our test. To know more about question bank management see this section.

Chapter wise auto-create EXAM
This option let's you quickly add random questions from a chapter into the test. These questions are added based on the following parameters selected by you.
Subject - Choose subject from which the questions are to be added
Chapter - Choose chapter from which the questions are to be added
Add questions of type - Select if you want to add questions of any specific type i.e. Single/Multiple/Numeric etc.
Add from question - Select question number from which the questions are to be added in the exam
Section - Select the exam section in which questions are to be added
Easy/Medium/Hard - Then you need to select the choice of how many easy/medium/hard difficulty level questions you want. System will try and match the requirement and bring that many easy, medium and hard questions picked randomly from the database for the selected chapter. System also tries to avoid the questions you have already used.
Weightage – How many marks are given to each question
Negative Marking- Add if there's any negative marking to the question
When you click on Generate test, you will find the number of new questions added reflected on the left side of the page. You can then add questions further from some other chapter, or go to check/update questions to review questions added.
Pick questions from question bank
Another option is you can pick questions that you want to add from the question bank one by one. This is better than auto-generate in some cases as it allows you to review the questions before adding.

Here you can select the subject and chapter from which to load questions. You can also filter based on difficulty level or type of the question (Single/Multiple/Number etc)
Then questions will be loaded. You can select a question by clicking on left side button as shown above. You can shortlist multiple questions to be added to the test. Then click on Import button at the bottom to import selected questions into test in a particular section and after a particular question number.
